I have a small, lovely family with my husband, Paul and in 2019, we welcomed our daughter, Elyse.
I take pleasure in reading and writing, indulging in culinary experiences and travelling to places on my bucket list. Aside from my family, I love a piping hot cup of tea anytime of the day and tending to my pots of plants.
I have always carried a journal with me wherever I go and I love to record down each precious memory so I can relive it again.
Why did I name my website savourandsparkle? Savour is to enjoy food or an experience slowly, in order to enjoy it as much as possible. Sparkle is to shine or glisten with little gleams of light.
I think being alive is wonderful. I want to record down a life filled with memories worth relishing and savouring as well as an appetite for extraordinary experiences worth splurging that add sparkles and richness to my soul.

It started out with documenting holidays and authentic experiences checked off from my bucket list. When I got pregnant, which was a little miracle in itself, I decided to jot down my journey in motherhood. When our little one was born, I realised that this website would be a gift to her where she could read about her growth month by month. The website then evolved to include an additional section on our little sweet pea.
I hope in years to come when I look back at this blog, I would have fulfilled the promise to myself to have lived a life well spent, loved hard and deep and have travelled far and wide.
I have always felt conscious about my language ability in English as I am stronger in Mandarin. Since young, people around me have laughed at my enunciation of words and my command of grammar. Nonetheless, I realised you do not have to be good at something to enjoy doing it!
